This inspiring collection of seasonal music tells the tale of the men and women who braved a rough ocean crossing to come to America from Northern Ireland, full of hope and strength. Includes a wide range of music from spirited jigs to touching melodies, arranged for flute and piano with a separate pull-out section for the flautist.

If buying for flute and piano accompaniment the music is fine.
But I bought for only the flute work and not being able to see the score did not realise how much piano work there was and how relatively little flute work there was. However, I do enjoy the flute parts as solo pieces.
This is not a bad point it was just one of the disadvantages of buying in hope when buying on-line.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sir James in 2010 at his 70th birthday concert in Aberdeen. I purchased this CD which he kindly signed for me. Having listened to the CD I was delighted to find the music score was available and purchased it. Playing along with Sir James on this wonderful CD is a pleasure and although I need a lot of work to play some of the works there is enough here to give me many hours of entertainment playing along with the maestro. If you get the score make sure you have the CD, the two just go together wonderfully. Anonymous
