Having the notes helps with playing however they sometimes hide some of the music

A fantastic aid for any member of the First violin section. Saves alot of time working out fingering / bowing in the difficult passages. Only downside is the awful smell of the recycled paper in this publication (which is not the case in Book 2)Publishers please take note.
