Peter Warlock was a pseudonym of Philip Arnold Heseltine, an English composer and music critic. Although he used his own name when writing as a music critic, he composed under the pseudonym Peter Warlock and is now better known by this name. As with most of his pieces, it was originally composed for voice and piano. This version has been arranged by Stanley Taylor for Recorder quintet.
I've been wanting to play the Capriol Suite for recorders for a few years, since being introduced to it on a playday. The copy I acquired didnt have a score, so I was very pleased to be able to buy one, plus all the parts, online. It arrived after a few days and a couple of days later we were studying and playing it at our weekly Wirral class, Thanks! Anonymous
