      Musicroom Reviews

This is one of a series of books of 'classical' composers including Bach, Mozart, Joplin and a book with an amalgamation of these composers and a few more pieces from classical composers. It is in standard notation and Tab thus offering greater options to play the pieces for guitarists. The CD is of excellent quality and the statndard of playing is excellent. This offers the guitarist to hear the pieces played as they should be - although you are obviously free to play them with whatever nuances you want. It has a biography and also explanations of the musical terms used in the pieces. There are a variety of pieces which begin with easier pieces to play, working towards longer and more difficult pieces to play. I would say that it is not meant for a beginner player and is best suited for an intermediate/advanced player. The pieces cover two or three of Beethoven's more famous pieces and some of his more 'obscure' works. In summary, I would recommend this and the other books in the series. Now, if only 'Roll over Beethoven' had been included!
