        Musicroom Reviews

I am using this with my daughter who is almost 5. Catchy action songs for learning good technique. Really like the idea of playing with a finger circle rather than individual fingers for very small hands. Interesting teacher duets as well as backing track.

This is a fantastic book. My daughter is only 4 and is able to use it to the tune of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'

I love this book. It is by far the best book I've seen for little children. It's aimed at 4-6 year olds. It comes with a CD with songs to sing and play along to and all my students love it. In their first lesson they can play an improvised duet with you, or to the CD using ANY KEYS!!! Not just middle C. It's an off stave book so it doesn't introduce notation although does cover rhythm. My only issue is that it's American so rhythm notation is quarter note instead of crotchet etc but we have fun going through it and correcting the terms.

My young pupils find Piano Adventures really inspirational and entertainig. Lesson Book A appeals to the very young learners who find it hard to concentrate and follow the instructions for longers periods. Before using the book with my students I tested it on my 5-year old daughter who loves listening to the CD and dancing to the songs. Within 6 months she plays with nicely rounded hand, uses all the fingers and memorised most of the songs so she can perform them when visiting the family. Now she will move on to Lesson Book 2.

Best course that I have found for pre-reading (music) level. Good guide for me has been if they don't yet know their alphabet then this is the course they'll need. Use with the writing book. Loads to fire up their imagination.
