Lovely to play. I'm considering going for my diploma after playing these pieces (if I can get round my nerves!)

        Wonderful music, of course
Not for the faint-hearted! At least Grade 7 standard required for most of the book. That's not a criticism, just a warning.

This is an excellent publication. I bought it because it includes an alternative piece for Grade 7 in the ABRSM syllabus. The piece is a gem and I am sure my pupils will enjoy learning it. I am enjoying playing through all the other pieces in the book as well.

I bought this book as I am learning a selection of songs from the book for a Diploma in Piano. There is an excellent selection of pieces in a good arrangement and format. Gershwin works with a lot of chords (sometimes using all your fingers) so if you struggle with this it might not be the book for you.In terms of skill level stated (6-8) I would say the book is towards the higher end of the scale but if you're looking for a challenge then it could be for you. Overall, an excellent buy.

I bought this book as I am playing The Man I Love for Grade 8 piano exam. It has a short history of George Gershwin and his brother Ira at the beginning of the book, which is really interesting. A great book with lots of popular pieces to work through.

Good arrangements of lovely songs. Set for grade 7 piano, so I'll have to work at some of them!

A great book...the pictures really helped contextualise the work too.

Great works of Gershwin, really nice to play, plenty to work on, only wished it had summertime in there though, would be a good addition.
