The book is clearly printed in notation and tab, and has lots of well-known bluegrass tunes. Each tune has some helpful hints and tips.
The companion CD contains recorded versions of each tune, most of which are played at breakneck speed, and I struggled to keep up on several tracks.

An excellent book for any Mandolin player, aimed at the beginning to advancing player. Interesting embellishments have been added to the basic tunes. The accompanying CD has 29 tracks to play along with, and has been mixed so that you can hear the full mix, mandolin alone or backing track without the solo. There is a guide to reading music and the tunes are presented in both conventional notation and TAB alongside very helpful comments for each piece. Perfect for building up a repertoire.
