The Piano Sonata No. 25 in G Major (Op. 79) was written in 1809, and first published in 1810. Sometimes referred to as the Cuckoo Sonata, it is scored in three movements: Presto Alla Tedesca - Andante - Vivace. It is one of Beethoven's shorter sonatas, taking only ten minutes to perform.
