        Musicroom Reviews

I bought this book because I wanted to learn some songs of the period, accompanying myself on classical guitar - however, most of these pieces also work well as guitar duets: the vocal parts are easy to play, even for someone whose doesn't read music all that well, so they'd be great for a relative beginner to play with a teacher or more experienced player. The arrangements are beautiful, and the lyrics (like any of the period) sometimes have us in stitches, e.g., 'Of all the birds that I do know, Philip my sparrow hath no peer'. I'm getting more than my money's worth of fun out of this book!
