I also am learning piano, after many years of playing keyboard, this book is very easy to follow it makes a nice change from learning classical as it helps to learn the correct fingering for both hands.
The print is very clear, the only downside, it would be easier to handle in ring binder form. Anonymous

I love this book. I began takeing piano lessons less than a year ago and I can play many recognizable songs and I can follow the book easily. My teacher also enjoys the book. He feels the order and information is what he would be teaching. It is fun and informative. Anonymous
I've just started learning the piano (self taught)after a (nearly) 20 year break from music.
The book is easy to follow & you are "playing", albeit one finger, straight away.
I'm using it in conjunction with a couple of books - I need to practice sight reading. The Baker book makes this a little too easy & I'm jumping some of the easier exercises as I have mastered them already via other books.
The only criticism I have, is that in book one, there are no scales. Everybody tells me that you need to learn & practise the scales as a building block.
