This is a great piece which sounds well on the viola. There are also versions for viola/full orchestra and viola/string orchestra but in a different key as far as I can make out (a fifth up). For those lucky enough to get a chance to play it with an ensemble, it will mean some re-learning.

Great arrangement and quality publishing. One gripe is that the performance instructions for one repeated section isn't as clear as it could be (the viola is only meant to play the given notes on the second time through). A clearer instruction could have been given.

I love this piece! I heard it because it's in the list for AB Grade 8 viola which I hope to take next July. I haven't chosen my pieces yet but I have to learn this whether I play it in the exam or not. You can hear it on you tube it is such fun to play and exhilarating, and very good for you I am sure. I'm giving it only 4 because like many Viola World titles the print is a little bit small and I find it difficult to read at my great age with my poor eyes.
