Fantastic on my wall at school and a great overview
If I were creating a frieze like this I would include some information about what was happening at that time outside of music (historical context).
But ... still love the product!

This is an excellent resource for allowing pupils to place the pieces they're learning within a wider musical and historical context. The timeline includes the details of all the major composers of each period, with their dates and thus pupils can easily see where their pieces fit in alongside these. The dissapointing thing is that although this is billed as a timeline, it is in fact several separate sheets (generally one or two for each musical period), so although the final length may be 16', you would need to join together the individual sheets in order to achieve this. This was a bit dissapointing as I had assumed that as it was advertised as a 'timeline', it was one continuous piece of paper.

Très peu d'intérêt pour cette chronologie où ne surnage que peu d'artiste... Le tiers de l'ouvrage est consacré à certains musiciens pop américains ou anglais. très léger et...frustrant!
