Was not impressed with this book. Covered the basic mechanics of playing piano OK but I found its approach to teaching the following things rather odd:
* Sight reading: introduced an odd staveless way to being with.
* Structure: Looked like they did not bother with formatting, separating sections to make it more understandable, very sharp but not in a good way.
* Music theory: Odd way of taking simple songs making "pentascales" then making the C major scale from it, was just weird, also approached chords in an odd way for me. Delved straight into terms like "dominant" without really explaining them.
Given its sharpness this book may be useful when used with a someone who knows there stuff but for a self teaching book I would not recommend it.
