I used this book as a student and I use it as a teacher - both for myself and my students. Excellent, progressive studies that are musically satisfying as well as technically useful.

good book it cantains pieces of most abilities. however when you first open it the book looks boring and hard. but if you start at the begging and work through it is easyier than you think. great for lessons or personal use. overall the book is good

I am really enjoying going through this study book. I find it's great just to chose a random number (1-100 obviously!) and then open the book and play it! It's great for sight reading and any I part I find hard I can mark and use it to practice on technique such as long passages for breathing or double-tonguing fast etc etc. Would recommend to anyone who is aiming for higher grades (although by grade 8 and above you will probably find a majority of them unchallenging) or people who would just like some extra material to bulk up their collection and dip into every now and again, plus there are some really nice sections of music in it and you can never have too much!

A very useful book which gets increasing difficult as you progress through it. I find it very good as a warm-up exercise when I begin my practice and also it is good for practising certain techniques needed in other pieces.
