Solo Blues Guitar

Books and CDs | Guitar Tab

Publisher: Hal Leonard
Composer: Dave Rubin
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album
Learn to play the blues the only way that counts, by playing the blues! Dave Rubin presents 55 authentic blues guitar performance solos in a wide variety of styles, specially devised for the elementary guitar student.

Each piece in this book is a complete, self-contained solo, including bass notes, chords, rhythms and the lead. By playing the tunes, not only will you discover all the licks, turns and vamps that a true blues player needs, but also how to fit it all together as a self-accompanied solo. From scale-runs and double-stops to strings bends and passing chords, these ingenious studies have got the lot!

Supported by a full CD of demonstrations to help you capture that magical blues phrasing.

Very interesting book for those who want to learn blues solos and rhythm patterns. The solos progress gradually in difficulty and you can see how many ideas can be taken a step further each time. Really good book!
