Wedding Day At Troldhaugen (Hochzeitstag Auf Troldhaugen) Op.65 No.6 from the set of Lyric Pieces is a delightful piece for Solo Piano by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. This piece demonstrates such range of character and feeling, with dramatic contrasts in tempo and dynamics. Grieg uses beautiful harmonic shadings, using harmonies traditional to Norwegian folk music - from which he was greatly influenced.

This piece will provide an enjoyable challenge for the advancing pianist.

In the Peters Edition, Wedding Day at Troldhaugen is presented clearly with helpful fingering in the more tricky parts. It's a fairly challenging piece for an improving player and the prize is to maintain the tempo whilst accurately reflecting the loud and soft passages.

This is one of my favourite pieces of piano music, which I would rate at a high intermediate standard. This edition is excellent as each page stays open and the score is very clear with sufficient finger numbers provided in trickier areas. The music arrived in excellent condition, which justified the p&p cost (rather than ordering from a shop) and I was very impressed as this was my first order with Musicroom.
