A delightful collection of duets for Cello players with some experience. The melodies, which are of English and Irish origin, are mainly found in the first part, with the second forming a slightly more straight-forward counterpart. You will also find a set of parts to allow duets between Viola and Cello.
A good book for the 'advanced beginner', who likes folkmusic. The first cello mainly has the melody, while the second is acompaniment. It is nice to play the melody on your own, but even more fun to play the arrangement with a friend or teacher. Anonymous

For Viola too: Got this for my son age 11 who has just done Grade 3 Viola. There isn't a lot of fun stuff for viola at this level, but this is just the ticket to have a break from the serious stuff. Should add that he is also in a hard-working string quartet, and thoroughly enjoying playing fully classical music too. But back to these duets: my husband plays the cello, so they are having fun together at home, other commitments permitting! Anonymous
