This is an exciting piece in three movements. 1st & 3rd are currently in the ABRSM Gd8 syllabus. There is plenty of energy in all movements and a favourite moment for me is in the 2nd. I love the way the mellow opening suddenly builds up to recapitulate some of the 1st movement. All in all a fun piece to play and great for any concert!

Technically challenging but lots of the passages are under the fingers.

A good, challenging set of Grade VIII (ABRSM) studies, though more concerto than blues to be honest. I expected it to be a bit more jazzy, but all in all a good choice for repertoire.

A great grade 8 piece, tricky but not impossible, nice backing. But I do wish that the editors or whoever sets the music score would lay out the parts better - there is lots of space on page two but one of the trickiest runs, with lots of accidentals is all squashed into half a line so it is really hard to read. But a nice piece to play.
