The complete score of Franz Joseph Haydn’s Sinfonia No.99 In E Flat, edited from the autograph, authentic copies and early editions by H.C. Robbins Landon. This is the Full Orchestra Score composed in 1793 as the first of six symphonies written for Haydn’s second visit to England.
It is a typically impressive symphony, four movements full of musicality and excitement, despite its characteristic slow opening. This piece is warm and expressive with a melancholy Adagio which seems to reflect the death of one of Haydn’s close friend earlier that year.
