This book contains short, varied and useful studies covering the rudiments and essential elements of music. This is the first of four books that introduce the theory of music in an interesting and practical way.
This book starts off really well for beginners but then jumps a few lessons and expects the pupil to have already learnt about rests. chords etc. I use this book only for the note naming, note writing, intervals and time signatures. Anonymous

As a piano teacher, I have been using this old fashioned little book for years, and find its great to build up theory knowledge for the very young beginner. Its small, with an encouraging tick-box front page. A good theory starter book. Anonymous
