the book needs to be bound so as to be able to turn the pages while playing the music. The book is too tightly constructed. I can't turn the pages so I will have to cut or disassemble each page. The price was too high because of this.

A good selection from two Austen classics :

Sense and Sensibility - the film with Kate Winslet and

Pride and Prejudice - the TV series with Colin Firth

      Straightforward to play
Jane Austen * The Music* is a misleading title. It omits music from Emma, Mansfield Park and so on, and is a mixture of film and television.

It omits some of the sadder pieces heard on Sense and Sensibility

Very good book. Approximately Grade 4 Standard. Good piano score without vocal line which is much better for pianists.

Some nice stuff in here, but the music has not been very well arranged/written for piano. It doesn't fall under the fingers and there are some unnecessarily difficult twists which spoil the flow and could have been avoided. Not sure if the composer or arranger is at fault!

This book is wonderful. The music is divine and the arrangement was challenging but not overly so. Thank you for this book!!

This book is wonderful. It was challenging enough to make me sit down and practice the pieces but not so that I was disheartened. The pieces sound very similar to the instumental versions in real life!

A must-have for all piano-playing Jane Austen fans! reasonably straightforward arrangements from the BBC 'Pride & Prejudice' series & Emma Thompson's 'Sense & Sensibility' film.

This is a really lovely piano book. I am roughly grade 5/6 level and I found the pieces about right for me, they needed some attention and practice but after a bit of effort they're not too difficult to play. The music is beautiful and really captures the feel of the story (I am a big fan of Sense & Sensibility in particular). I also really like how on the first page it provides a summary of what is happening in the story for each piece of music. Highly recommended for any fans of these two films/books.

I was delighted to find this - having been at two days of the filming of Sense and Sensibility in our Village, and meeting the stars of the film. Patrick Doyle is also my favourite modern composer. This adaptation of the music of the film is excellent, written in a clear format with the addition of the synopsis of both Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. The arrangements are very close to the film scores, which makes playing the pieces very enjoyable, bringing back such lovely memories.

I have REALLY enjoyed this book! It's not too hard or too easy. Very pretty arrangements. I would've like to have the words to the songs Marianne sang though. I've never been able to find this book on any other website - so buy it here while you can! It's worth every penny!

The music in this book is quite challenging, but it is just like the programs and is very nice to play. I will enjoy playing this for years!
