Excellent book. I have been playing piano now for just a year and this book provides some great familiar songs to enjoy that also challenge. Have just purchased another copy for a friend!

I bought this as my local primary school struggled with some ancient tapes of Oliver. I don't know the musical so needed to buy a simple score and managed to arrange and record the items onto CD for rehearsal. So for a quick-fix it was really great. However, the arrangements are so sparse that occasionally it would have been good to have chords as well - some of it is ambiguous. I also found some harmonies which I was convinced were wrong, and a strange melody in one bar of "Food, Glorious Food" where the vocal part is up a third from where you'd expect. I've now got hold of a full score and yes, these things are mistakes in the simplified version (annoying now I've recorded it all). So beware - it's not totally to be trusted.

This book has really been value for money. It is ideal for enabling young children to sing the songs with the support of the melody within the simple accompaniment. Nothing too cumbersome to distract them. I've used it for lots school concerts. Simple enough for me to almost sight read!

An extremely simple book, great for early piano learners who love to play along to musicals! The music on the page looks so simple but it sounds really effective when you hear all the notes played together properly. It includes all the well-known songs from the musical and I have a really good time playing them!

A superb little book with delightful, easy to play arrangements of all the classic songs from the world famous musical Oliver. This book is suitable for all, from beginners learning the piano, to professional musicians looking for accompaniments to singing or production rehearsals. I would thoroughly recommend this title to all, especially schools and drama associations.

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter who has just passed Grade 1 and it's ideal for her. Some pieces are easier than others so it should last her quite a while. Even the easier ones are stretching her and need quite a lot of practise to perfect but she loves the tunes so is more than happy to persevere.

My daughter was going off the piano, as the grade-one exam pieces were boring her. Since her school had done this musical, and she was constantly humming the songs, my cunning plan was to buy this book, especially given the other reviews here. It worked! She practices these pieces for fun now, which is the whole point, after all. Moreover, we are learning together, and I can handle them, too.
