These songs to play and sing have been arranged as simply as possible for young pianists. The left hand is entirely in the five finger position. There are no key signatures used. Compiled and arranged by Eleanor Franklin Pike.
Another set of Eleanor Franklin Pike's brilliantly simple arrrangements. Each piece is very easy to learn with only 1 note at a time played by the right hand and the simple 5-finger position maintained in the left. These pieces sound good, and include the words for a traditional singalong. Children will recognise a few of the songs, but others are not well-known today. They would easily be within the scope of a young beginner though. Anonymous

I think this series of books are one of the best for those approaching and of Grade 1 standard. They enable students to play simple but effective tunes quickly and easily over a wide number of genres. Anonymous
