This is a fantastic book. It is really easy to use and has a good selection of hymns, ranging from easter and christmas to traditional and eventide. They are all really easy to play, provided you have a basic knowledge of reading music and sharps/flats. There are a few things that also help to make it easier such as commas where you're supposed to change your hand position. The book's only downside is that occasionally some of the timing is a little different to how the song would sometimes be sung. But it is easy to adapt.
Other than this the book is a good introduction to playing hymns Anonymous

Bought for my 10 year old son so that he can play some hymns on the organ in church. He is grade 2 piano now and has not had too much trouble picking out a few that are "playable". The hymns are very well arranged considering how easy they are. You may have to add the occasional 'pause' where the extra beats are not added in the music. Not a huge choice, but not a big book! Fine for the purpose mentioned above. Anonymous

This is a very clear and easy to follow book which is packed with the old favourites. Having not played seriously for some time, I needed to go back to the beginning and this is just the perfect re-start level. Anonymous

The 2nd of 2 books I bought for my daughter who is coming along as an older learner studying towards her Grade 2.
A great book which was well packed and arrived within a few days of placing the order. Anonymous

I think this series of books are one of the best for those approaching and of Grade 1 standard. They enable students to play simple but effective tunes quickly and easily over a wide number of genres. Anonymous
