There is a large variety of Christmas tunes. Excellent for the Christmas set my string trio and I are preparing to do!
Nearly all of the pieces are written in a key with flats, which can be slightly tricky for string players, we prefer keys with sharps in them!
Don't be fooled by the 'easy' level. A lot of the top part is in third or fourth position, and so could be slightly tricky for beginner violinists. However, the 2nd and 3rd parts are slightly easier, so it is best for a mixture of abilities.

          Musicroom Reviews

I bought the whole set of these, except the brass one, as a bit of fun for the family in the few days before Christmas. We have several instruments being played/learnt in the house and these were perfect for dipping into and having fun together. Great to be able to open the book and play rather than search for tunes that will work together. Would have been great to be able to have these in a cello and bassoon too.

This music has not been arranged with strings in mind. All the keys are 'flat' keys i.e. written for Bb and Eb instruments. It should not be advertised as violin music. Please note that string players at this level prefer to play in sharp keys : G, D and A major.
