The Satie parodies are particularly impressive. I have always liked the original pieces; these transformations are a marvellous commentary on them.

I have really enjoyed these quirky pieces which are full of character and depth. The pieces based upon Satie are particularly good with subtle jazz inflections. The blues pieces require great subtelty and awarness of colour and this publication is a must for any pianist looking for some classical music that has a unique flavour.
