Dudley GB Excellent book for beginners
We have used this method book in school for a few years now. It is an ideal starting point for our young flute players

A really good start for both Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 students. Well laid out with not too much information on a page. One major quibble - drawing showing over view of flute posture at the beginning of the book is rather inaccurate!

This item was a gift for my daughter, and was a title she had requested. She is very happy with it. Having CD with the book is great as it's much nicer to play with a backing track.

Great for beginners learning the flute, as the CD plays the accompany music.

This seems like a good book to me. The CDs are helpful and the book is laid out in a clear and constructive way. It was recommended to us by my daughter's flute teacher who has bought others in the series for clarinet and sax. If I had a criticism it would be that the early pieces are not that interesting to play, but I think that is fairly typical in beginners' books.

If only I had discovered this Tutor earlier! I like the fact it encourages about feeling the rhythm and the different ways of doing that. Handy having the CDs to play along with. Very pleased!
