Piano pieces entitled with different regions of Spain. Albeniz's individual style of writing, with exciting rhythms and discordancies. For players of intermediate to higher standard.

Albeniz must have been some pianist - his music, though very 'pianistic', is often of considerable difficulty. This Suite Espanola isn't as demanding as Iberia however, and contains a number of very satisfying and charming short pieces for players of Grade 7 or 8 standard and above - lots of big stretches, chords, repeated notes and different voices. This Spanish edition is pretty good value for money, though a page turner is probably the only alternative to memorising! Fingering and editorial work are helpful.
