W.A Mozart: Clarinet Concerto K.622 (Clarinet In B-Flat/Piano)

Books | Clarinet In B-Flat, Piano Accompaniment

Publisher: Boosey & Hawkes
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album

The Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra was written in October 1791, about two months before Mozart's death, and destined for Anton Stadler, the famous clarinettist. The first movement exists in a sketch in G major for Basset Horn and Orchestra composed towards the end of 1789.

This edition has been published in two versions: in the original in A for Clarinet in A, and in a transposed version in B-Flat for Clarinet in B-Flat, in order to comply with the popular request for that instrument. Available here is the version for Clarinet in B-Flat, as arranged by Ernest Roth and revised by Frederick J. Thurston.

Having ordered this piece in the wrong key, I re-ordered and it arrived almost by return. This is excellent service. Thank you.

I love this piece! The arrangement is really good and is a good step up for people moving into grades 7 and 8. I'm really glad that I have bought this title and would recommend it for faithfulnet players everywhere!

Another beautiful piece used by ABRSM for grade 8. Make sure you buy the correct publisher as the Schirmer version is different in articulation. This can also be used for diploma.

Une pièce magnifique, avec une préférence pour l'adagio. C'est un vrai plaisir de la travailler.

My purchae of this music is aspirational more than practical as my ability with the clarinet does not match the music in any way. I did have another version some time ago and I can say that this printing is very much clearer and readable than what went before. Thank goodness for that as my reading is less than perfect. On the other hand i might have liked a little more text at various points particularly where one is supposed to play a little cadenza. this is not marked pon the music as I noticed when i played the Michael Collins version on CD and followed the music as he played. Not a problem really and i have started with the slow movement, obviously, and finding is challenging and wonderful.

Morceau exceptionnel de Mozart, un rêve d'enfant de pouvoir le jouer... et enfin une version valable pour clarinette en sib et piano !

This is a really great piece! I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. I imagine it's good for people who are at grade 6+.
