This book is an excellent guide to harmony and how it relates to melody. The book takes you through the basics of rhythm and keys to more complicated areas such as diatonic and chromatic progressions. Everything is explained in a manner that allows the information to be tangible. If you ever wondered what Cmaj7 G/D C/E Fsus4 G7 Cmaj means, and more importantly why that progression works, then this is the book for you.
