Unlike many scale studies this book has 210 exercises ranging from two liners to well over a page. It has major scales, diads, triads, tetrads, pentads, hexads and septads. Although I am an amateur I can't imagine that there is anything not here that anybody would need for practice. I wasn't sure if I should buy it but I am very glad now that I did!
When I ordered the book online late at night I hoped I had not ordered a book for scales for the viola as the author is JOSEPH VIOLA! But of course this is not a bad point.
