Prokofiev's Op.65 presents twelve easy pieces for the intermediate Piano student, with all of the playful and unpredictable characteristics of the great Russian composer's style. An excellent book for the beginner pianist by one of the most important composers of the 20th century. The pieces are beautiful (much better for example than Schumann's music for the Young) and an excellent introduction to the best of 20th century piano music. The only downside is the outdated feel of the paper and quality of the printing and the absence of comprehensive fingerings. I would definitely recommend it!
