I like the steady progression of new musical elements. Each piece has something added - Penny Farthing introduces quavers to notes already known and played in crotchets and minims etc.
I wish there was still the option of buying these books without the CD so as to make the cost easier for parents. In my experience the CD is little used!

Didn't realise it was play along with piano accompaniment, but should be pretty easy... short'n'sweet...look forward to attempting them.

I.Grisoni.

An excellent book to follow any beginners' book or to use to learn to read music for young Suzuki students. The print is big and clear and not cluttered up with cartoons - there are attractive outline drawings to compliment the titles of the pieces. Suitable for ages 5 to 8.

An excellent book for early violinists. The 2nd finger is added gradually on each string and then the 3rd finger (and slurs) are added halfway through the book. This allows young violinists to gradually consolidate their music reading and violin playing. The CD provides the piano accompaniement alone or a performance of each piece in the book.

Brilliant book. My daughter has just started out with her violin and this was recommended by her teacher. Easy to use.
