A good starting point, like the note illustrations which are easy to see / explained than in other books I have.

          Good intermediary book

Really easy to follow for complete newcomers both to reading music and the saxophone. Lots of mini-tunes for children to try even after their first lesson. Well worth buying.

I have used this book for dozens of pupils. It's good and has some fun jazzy pieces later on. The downside is that it needs more well-known tunes early on. Some of the CD accompaniments are hard to follow, as there is no track that includes the sax, but overall this is a useful starter book to Grade 2+

Everything in this book is explained in its easiest simplest terms and I played my first tune within two weeks of buying my Sax. The accompanying CD is very good too. If, like me, you never thought you would be able to play a note, let alone a tune, be prepared to be proved wrong.

Simple and well written introduction to playing the Saxophone, highly recommended.
