Great content and appropriate for grades 2-4. Builds in chromatically, shifts, bow techniques in a fun way. Imaginative pieces.
Could do with an accompaniment or cd. Shame it hasn't got either.

Cambridge GB Good violin teaching resource
Tuneful and well-thought out repertoire. The tunes are technically demanding but fun too. I always use this book for violin pupils between about Grades 3-5.
There are a few pieces I usually skip when teaching because they're not so approachable for younger pupils. It's a shame there's no piano part because it would make the pieces good concert items.

Very good book - covers many different techniques, with pieces that appeal and make sense musically. Personally I use it with pupils of about grade 3 onwards. Highly recommended.
