First published in paperback form in 1977, this collection of 41 songs represents a definitive publication of the songs of Michael Flanders and Donald Swann. Lyrics written out in full before each song. With an introduction by Donald Swann and including numerous illustrations by distinguished artists and cartoonists.
Nicely presented book, a comprehensive collection of their work. Very nice cartoons as well very playable Anonymous

A definitive collection of songs, lovingly collected and edited. I don't feel I can give this 5 stars though as the layout makes this edition unsuitable for performing from, particularly in songs with several verses where the music and lyrics are printed on separate pages. Also it would have been nice to include transciptions of the pre-song banter that was as much a part of Flanders and Swann's act as the songs themselves. Anonymous

It is exactly what it purports to be, and my accompanist was very happy.
The illustrations are just the icing on the cake - and (importantly) are laid out so as not to get in the way if one has to quickly play the things or learn the lyrics.
I'm very happy with this songbook. Anonymous

A great addition to any singer's library! This title is perfect for adding a lighter touch to any concert programme. On the down side, the quality of the binding leaves alot to be desired. Ten minutes on a piano music stand and the pages will come out. Nice illustrations.
