A wonderful selection of songs for the budding professional. I strongly recommend the backing tracks available separately as the accompaniments can be tricky to play and many of the songs do not have guitar chords for folk that like to 'busk it'.

      good selection of popular melodies
As the book wouldn't stay flat, it will be difficult for the pianist.

Many of the songs were not full versions. Very frustrating.

"Bread and Butter" rep for starting or ending a recital. Extremely good value for money - this anthology delivers a wide range of crowdpleasers all of which are within comfortable range for either a mezzo or soprano.

A good book to have in your collection, if you enjoy singing show songs. There are a few obscure ones in here, which is useful to broaden one's repertoire, and also the better-known songs from 'My Fair Lady' etc are included, which you would expect.

A perfect collection of songs for the young musical soprano and this series is full of valuable information about the origins of the songs.

I am very pleased with The Singers Musical Theatre Anthology for soprano and the accompanying CDs which go with this volume. I am able to practise freely with the accompaniments concentrating on my voice and not having to think about playing the piano part myself. Excellent! I would highly recommend this volume to any professional singer!

Great anthology I work with lots of kids who sing but have different personalities and strengths vocally and the range of material in this book is great, very diverse and covers a lot of students different tastes and styles.some of the girls are keen on the more modern shows eg wicked and new releases like sister act and legally blonde so waiting for a book with more up to date songs too never the less so good we got a set

I love the range of songs in this book. It may sound really obvious, being a soprano's anthology and all, but it goes up really quite high, which me, being a bit ditzy, overlooked, so if you're a mezzo soprano like me who just liked the choice of songs in this book, there may be a fair bit of transposing to do. Other than that, its a clear, good quality book with full versions of the songs as opposed to shortened ones you might find in other anthologies.
