        Musicroom Reviews

I heard this during an Advent Carol Service on BBC Radio 3, from St John's College Cambridge, I believe. It is a beautiful setting of the Advent Prose plainsong for 4 part mixed voice choir, dividing to eight parts at times. I hope to be able to perform it next year with a Chamber Choir that I sing with (The Anselm Singers, cond. John Barnard).

The piece itself is nice: it's based entirely on the traditional Advent Prose, with the bass carrying the melody throughout, and would be accessible to a competent church choir.
