          Musicroom Reviews

I have now bought several of these Guest Spot music books and I find them very enjoyable to use, I play alone, but with these backing track you really feel part of something much larger, they have helped to bring on my playing no end, even my long suffering wife agrees.

The tunes are quite easy to pick up - I especially liked ‘I Say A Little Prayer For You’ and ‘Heard It Through The Grapevine’ which are also very good arrangements for alto sax and pitched in the right key. With this book you will learn to relax and not panic so much at what look like awkward rhythms - as the sound just seems to come naturally. This book is good for practicing various tone styles that you are thinking of adopting.

Great selection of songs-fantastic backing track CD to play along to. Have not been playing for very long, but this certainly is keeping me motivated and can play for a couple of hours!!

Guest Spot: Soul Play along for Alto sax. I am a fairly new player but this guide had me playing tunes from it since the moment I got it. An excellent selection of tunes and it's even good enough to listen to in the car. I really, really liked this guide.

Guest Spot:Soul playalong for alto saxophone is excellent. The music is clear and easy to follow. The CD that accompanies this title is also very good as the music is clear and well played and the backing saxophone is easy to play along with if you're not a very confident player. You are sure to enjoy playing these great titles such as Feeling Good, I get the Sweetest Feeling, Heard it Through the Grapevine, I got you (I feel good), Stand By Me and more. You are bound to enjoy playing these whether you like soul or not.
