Excellent service and I really recommend this book. It is clearly presented without too many words and examples: it is much better to study this concise approach and then practise exam paper questions.

Contains all one needs to know to pass grade one theory. Not too many exercises to complete, but explanations for each type of question are very good and the word list is excellent.

There are plenty of theory books on the market, but, as a teacher, I like using this series. The information and activities are explained in an attractive and clearly presented way, and the little illustrations throughout the book add some fun to the learning process.

Really good for 8 plus to learn from, but could do with more examples to work for the less able.

This is a good series to use in parallel with practical playing. Each page is simply laid out, explaining what is needed to be known with good exercises to cement this, without bombarding the pupil with fussy lay-out.

This series is good for young beginners who really do find theory as fun. For later grades more back-up is necessary to expand the imagination.

It is a lovely book, but could have more exercises, especially later in the book.

This is a good theory introduction for the younger musician (under 11) who shows an eagerness to write every lesson! It has some lovely pictures and covers the basics needed for grade 1.

These books are really good to help you learn/revise theory in grades. I have used books 1-4 so far. The more higher grade books do expect you to have basic musical knowledge. If you are doing GCSE music, these range of books can help you with the theory side.
