A couple of nice pieces for Trinity Guildhall Grade 5 trumpet syllabus- Ragamuffin and Tequila Sunrise. Had pupils who have enjoyed learning them.

Catchy tunes with good demonstrations of jazz rhythms, giving the young student of the trumpet an education in jazz styles.
No real bad points. The pieces seem to be more about educating than inspired compositions for the young player.

I think this jazz book, which is printed for a range of instruments, is the best of many that exist for beginners to experts. The music is very enjoyable to play and makes you want to play more. I loved this book as soon as I got it.
