Claude Debussy: Clarinet Album

Books | Clarinet, Piano Accompaniment

Publisher: Universal Edition
Composer: Claude Debussy
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album

The range of tonal colour that can be produced by the clarinet made it eminently suitable for Debussy's impressionistic compositions and it featured greatly in his orchestral works. Only a few works however for the solo instrument were composed. James Rae presents some of Debussy's most popular concert pieces in these arrangements for clarinet and piano.
Clarinettists will now have the pleasure of bringing to life, for example: the Ragtime flair of 'Le petit nègre', the beauty of 'La plus que lente' and the clumsiness of the little elephant in 'Jimbo's Lullaby'.

Purchased because my daughter wanted it for one piece for grade 7 clarinet. She loved it and has fallen in love with Debussy and the other pieces in the book as well. A real bonus as trinity exams mean you have to buy loads of books to get enough pieces that you like. ABRSM better in that they publish a single book with enough pieces to choose from.
          The price! It was expensive.
