Very good. Well put together. Straight forward and easy to understand. A beginner will be playing in no time at all. Highly recomended for the older beginner and adults. Lots of various pieces. Great “all in one” book.

I love it. Easy to use and is as near to a piano as I need. Delighted
No. Be nice if it had something to cover the keys- a lid but good without. I don't know how that could be achieved

        Musicroom Reviews

As an older person I needed an intelligent and comprehensive book, not aimed at children, to start on a long held ambition to learn the piano. This book provided exactly that. Clear language and diagrams to take you from the absolute basics to quite an advanced level (or so it seems to me). The only minor criticisms: musical notations are given in US terms rather than British, and perhaps more emphasis on practice would have helped. (Hence 4 rather than 5)

This book is fantasic for the adult beginner. I had no musical knowledge at all, so I needed something that started at the beginning, without being patronising. Everything is explained, and the CD's help if you struggle with the timing. I started lessons after I finished this book, and my teacher was so impressed with it he now uses it to teach from. If you've never sat at a piano before, then this is the book for you. If, however, you already have some basic knowledge and can play some basic songs you might be better starting with Book 2.

As an older beginner learning the piano for the first time, this book is just brilliant. Logical, clear, reviewing and testing knowledge, it just makes piano practice so enjoyable.
