This is an excellent series and both my children use them with their teacher's encouragement. Excellent for preparing for the theory exams.

Love all these books for my pupils although the pictures are perhaps a bit too childish for Y5/6

Simple, easy to understand by younger children. Works great with additional exercises

This is a good no-nonsense series which the children enjoy. It follows on well from the Grade 1 book, going over what should already have been learnt and building on this.

I searched on alot of websites for this grade 2 book and it was only available at Music room. As with the Grade 1 book, it is set out in a very child friendly way with little tests to check progress as you go along.

These theory books are aimed at children but I've found that pupils of all ages like to use them. They make it fun to learn with puzzles, crosswords etc but still managing to include all the topics needed for grades 1-5. A very reasonable price too!

This series is pretty fantastic. Fun to use, concise and easily readable, it offers a welcome relief from text- and symbol-heavy alternatives, which strike fear into the heart of many a student, without compromising the material itself. There are plenty of books offering practice exercises that can be used alongside - basic exercises are included but more practice would be advisable before attempting the exam. With its light-hearted illustrations, fun quizzes and approachable format, this series opens up the subject in a friendly, non-threatening way. Students love these books and often go on and do more work than you asked them to do. Very highly recommended.
