This is an easy to read work book for children taking theory exams. It is straightforward and is not confusing! Used to Grade 5 for son #1 and now using again for another son as the other book on the market by the exam board was too difficult to understand for a child.

Clear explanations enable pupils to attempt exercises on their own if they wish to.
Crosswords, word searches etc are popular and fun.
Whatever the age of the pupil, the characters and fun approach works.
Covers the areas of study in a logical order, every subject for the every grade is included.
There are only a couple of exercises for each subject. Whilst this ensures completion of the book quite quickly, I usually write extra exercises for my pupils so that they have more practise and reinforcement of the subject. Other theory books have far too many exercises which overface pupils though.

Would definatley recommend. Brilliant for kids with language that they understand. I find the ABSM ones are too lengthy and complicated for little ones. Have used it recently on adults and they love it just as much!

These little books take the fear out of theory. They're not at all pompous and engage the pupil quite happily as they gradually absorb all the knowledge they need.
