A Century Of Piano Music: Grades 1-4 Selected and Edited by Richard Deering

Books | Piano

Publisher: Bosworth
Format: Sheet Music | Instrumental Album

A Century Of Piano Music contains pieces graded accordingly to difficulty, originally written variously for concert hall, class, festival or home: miniatures and more extended pieces that show off each composer at their best. Every major artistic movement can be discerned in this collection of easy and accessible piano works by some of the biggest names in British music of the twentieth century. As an aid to preparation and interpretation, there is a short explanatory paragraph on each piece. Generally, fingering has been added, though not in pieces where several alternatives would be viable.

      Musicroom Reviews

One of the pieces can be used as an alternative in the ARBSM Grade 2 syllabus. The pieces are quite tricky and not very inspiring for a young performer.

This book is made up of lovely music but no well known composers. It is a good style of bok which I personaly would ,love to buy. It is also an excelent price and the music is very appealing. A very intriguing book.
