This is a really lovely book. It has a real mixture of repertoire and also includes many of the songs on the singing syllabus for both ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall. I use it with my singing teacher and I have sung several of the songs from it and really enjoy using it.

This book is really great; I use it practically every day in my teaching. There are some classics in it, as well as some other less well-known songs. All are suitable for school-age children, as well as adults (in fact, there are one or two that I would gladly include in a recital!), and many are included in the exam syllabuses. I've just discovered that Vol. 2 is available, and the contents look excellent again. Just off to order it now...

No, make that 3-4 as I did get that which I wished for i.e. (Cecil) Armstrong Gibbs's 'Dusk'! Regrettably, the other pieces were, for me, not very inspiring. Nicely printed though, (spring-bound would have been good), however, 'Dusk' IS in the centre-fold, so that's even better. Many thanks for C.A.G. ( so rare!)
