Clear publication and excellent performance notes, with strong suggestions to enable you to compose your own cadenzas. I like the joint publication of Andante in C (approx Grade 6) and this concerto (Grade 6-8) so the book can be used throughout development.
          No cadenzas given.

There is a really useful introduction to the pieces and the style of composing. It takes you through the stages of writing your own cadenza by identifying themes and giving examples. For a pupil who is studying music at GCSE or A level this could be really useful and gives them an opportunity to contribute to their own performance of the pieces.
