Caroline Hoile: The Gigantic Star (Teacher's Book)

Books | Piano, Vocal & Guitar

Composer: Caroline Hoile
Series: Golden Apple
Format: Sheet Music | Classroom Musical
Caroline Hoile follows the success of The Little Angel with this delightful work, The Gigantic Star. The melodies are very catchy and children will love to sing these songs. All the elements for a successful Christmas Nativity are here. Caroline's writing for the very young is sensitive and shows her understanding of children this age. She has woven the traditional Biblical story around the feelings of a large and embarrassed star who turns out to be something rather special. Duration: 30 mins.

Script available in student book.

The simplicity of the 6 songs and script are ideal for the novice organising their first nativity with key stage 1.
Both the score and script allow plenty of room for adaptations.
Sound files are great - I first used this plat with the old school cassette, I 've had the score for solo long - tried and tested - love it!
        No, would recommend it 100%!

The children find the songs catchy and easy to remember. The production can cover the whole of a first/primary school easily as it is straightforward to differentiate the parts and songs appropriately.

This book is a must for anyone who wants a nativity play, with songs that are fun and easy to learn. The book comes complete with a script or for the more adventurous of us, a really good reference point to start writing our own. Adults and children alike enjoyed learning the songs and adding percussion.
