The Fender's '72 models are inspired by the era that gave us the likes of Deep Purple, Whitesnake and Scorpions. With this limited edition run featuring a custom design, comes modern build quality, whilst maintaining the legendary tones.
Made in the famous Ensenada factory in Mexico, you can trust Fender to create a reliable and sturdy instrument that will stand the test of time.
The stripped back, natural finish Alder body is a timeless classic full of class and sophistication, and pairs beautifully with the bold 'C'-shaped maple neck. On top is the maple fretboard adorned with 21 frets, a limited feature amongst the range. It adds a crisp and bright tonality to the balanced alder, especially when using the neck pickup. The synthetic bone nut can be seen across Fender guitars at this price and massively benefits sustain, by improving the vibration transfer between tuning machines and strings.
This 'hot-rodded' model features a special Wide Range humbucker to extend the versatility of the guitar even further and gives it a real fat sound, not usually found coming out of Telecaster guitars. In the bridge position is the Classic Series single coil which is as snappy as ever. Perfect through clean or overdriven channels for punchy tones.
Another special addition to this model is the Bigsby tremolo, adding to the classic vibe of the guitar and allows for all the nuances and tricks in your playing you could ever want. Able to withstand big divebombs or short flutters, and will keep the guitar in tune thanks to its roller bridge and pressure spring designed to perfection over decades of playing.
